AEP Energy offers electricity supply plans that help customers in Cincinnati support a cleaner environment while getting the same electricity service.
The plan is called ECO-Advantage®, and it matches 100% of your electricity usage with national Green-e® Energy certified wind Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). When you buy and pair RECs with your electricity service, you are getting and using renewable electricity.

AEP Energy is proud to be an energy supplier for Cincinnati and other communities in Hamilton County. It’s not only Ohio’s largest metropolitan area, it’s the 29th largest in the United States.
Energy deregulation in the area has given homeowners in counties like Athens, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren to take greater control of their energy costs. So they can choose an energy supplier and plan that best meets their energy needs instead of just buying from the utility company.
Families in southwestern Ohio can keep their homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer, while depending on budget certainty and stable energy rates from AEP Energy. While they root for the Bengals, Reds and FC Cincinnati, Cincy-area families can rely on AEP Energy to keep the power running to their televisions.
AEP Energy offers electricity plans to almost every town in the region, including: Hamilton, Middletown, Oxford, Norwood, Forest Park, Mason, Lebanon, Sharonville, Monroe, Trenton, Loveland, Wilmington, Blue Ash, Springdale, Reading and many more.
There are a number of competing companies in the Cincinnati area, and the people who live there can pick the supplier that fits their needs. AEP Energy has competitive price plans and renewable energy options.

“As a repeat subscriber to AEP Energy’s renewable energy program, I have been very happy with every aspect of this service. The rates are fair, the website is easy to navigate and it was a simple process to switch to AEP Energy from our regular electricity provider. It is so important that our country expands its capacity for green energy sources, and I have been very pleased to be able to direct our household energy dollars toward support of wind power.”

Our price plans require a contract that outlines the terms and conditions, price, and cancellation and renewal provisions.
Many of our price plans do not have an early termination fee if you cancel before the end of your agreement. Please carefully review the terms and conditions of your contract.
Your service may begin as soon as six days after enrollment. You will receive a confirmation letter from your utility that will provide your specific start date.
It’s easy to enroll with AEP Energy. You can join online or give us a call toll-free at 1-855-300-7192.
Have your most recent electricity bill handy so that you can share your account information.
There is no equipment to install or any changes in wiring or hardware, and you won’t experience any interruptions as a result of enrolling with AEP Energy. Nothing will change with your electricity delivery.
AEP Energy notifies your electric distribution company. Enrolling with AEP Energy does not eliminate or cancel your current electric distribution company service. You will remain a customer of your current electric distribution company. They will continue to read your meter, send you one bill that contains all of your charges, and provide maintenance and emergency services.
If your local distribution company issues a switching fee, AEP Energy will cover the charge. However, switching fees should not be confused with early termination fees from your current electricity provider. Please carefully review the terms and conditions of your contract.
