AEP Energy Introduces the Comfort Connect Plan

AEP Energy is proud to bring residents within AEP Ohio and Columbia Gas service territories the Comfort Connect PlanSM. The Comfort Connect Plan allows you to select an electric and/or natural gas supply plan at a competitive price from AEP Energy, while also receiving a free Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat.
Once you have successfully enrolled and received your Honeywell thermostat, you’ll be able to take advantage of its great features! The thermostat is programmable to fit the needs of you and your household. Enjoy benefits including:

  • Remote access. You’ll have access to your thermostat from almost anywhere when you download the Total Connect Comfort Honeywell app. Coming home from a warm vacation destination to learn it is 20 degrees where you live? Warm up your house before you arrive with a click on your smartphone, computer, or tablet.
  • Energy savings. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, you can save an estimated 10% each year on heating and cooling costs by using a programmable thermostat. These savings come into play when you take advantage of the energy savings mode and the 7-day programmable feature. Use the programmable feature to schedule four different temperature settings each day. This will allow you to heat and cool your home based on the schedule of your household while saving on energy costs.
  • Smart response. The Wi-Fi thermostat learns your heating and cooling cycles to deliver the right temperature at the right time.
  • Internet time-sync. You don’t have to worry about resetting the time or changing this clock during daylight savings time. The Honeywell thermostat will automatically update during time changes and it will keep time during a power outage.
