AEP Energy Field Sales – The Team in Red and Gray is Going Green!

In honor of AEP Energy’s commitment to caring for the planet, while at the same time striving to provide the best possible customer experience, our field sales team is going green with great rates on renewable energy offers.

Does Enrolling in a Green Plan Really “Give Back”?
So far, between the months of January and March in 2018, alone, the AEP Energy residential field sales team has enrolled over 1,800 new customers on AEP Energy’s ECO-AdvantageSM Price Plan.  According to the EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalency Calculator, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions would be approximately the same as reducing our carbon footprint by:

  • 32,833,103 miles driven by an average passenger vehicle
  • 29,532,917 pounds of carbon dioxide
  • 1,507,360 gallons of gasoline consumed
  • 547,621 propane cylinders used for home barbecues
  • 448,323 incandescent lamps switched to LEDs
  • 4,668 tons of waste recycled instead of landfilled

*Calculations based off the EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator on an estimated average annual usage of 10,000 kWh per household.  To find out how you can impact greenhouse gas, click on this link to the EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalency Calculator.

Meet a Field Sales Team Member—Does Going Green Really Matter or is this “Just Business”?
Meet Tim Moore.  Tim has been an AEP Energy field sales team energy advisor since 2017.  When asked what he likes about working for AEP Energy, this was his response:
“I really enjoy meeting new people and having the opportunity to educate customers on the impact they can have on the environment by enrolling in the ECO-AdvantageSM Plans.  I believe that together, we are really making a difference.
And as someone working in the energy market, it’s nice to work for a company who sees the issue and is committed to actively work towards creating impactful solutions.”

How can I Get in Touch with the Field Sales Energy Advisors?
Our field sales team members are not only going door to door in your neighborhood, but they can also be found at some central Ohio Giant Eagle grocery stores.  You might even run into the crew at a few local festivals, such as the Earth Day Columbus Celebration in Genoa Park on April 22, 2018, and the Powell Festival on June 22nd and 23rd, 2018.
