What happens after switching?
Here are a few of the more common questions customers ask after they sign up with AEP Energy.
No – we’ll take care of that for you. Switching is hassle-free on your end. But remember, your local utility still delivers your energy, handles maintenance, and sends you your bill.
Usually on your next meter read date (within a month or two). We’ll let you know the exact date after your local utility accepts your enrollment – you won’t be left guessing.
Your monthly statement is still sent and managed by your local utility company. Please call them with questions.
No problem. We understand plans change, so most of our plans have no cancellation fee. You can cancel anytime without penalty. (Of course, we’ll be sad to see you go!) Before making any decisions, we recommend you review the terms and conditions of your contract.
Your local utility company will still manage any maintenance issues or emergency situations.
