March 31st – So, here’s the deal: colder weekend weather models pushed power and gas prices up as we kicked off the week. But, with plenty of wind and solar power expected tomorrow, day-ahead prices decreased.
March 28th – Mid-day weather updates showed cooler-than-normal temperatures in the 11-to-15-day forecast, increasing gas prices. Meanwhile, Texas is looking at seasonably warm temperatures and a solid supply of renewable energy over the next 10 days, keeping short-term power prices steady, even as gas prices climbed 14 cents for the May contract.
