City of Belpre residents can get a great natural gas rate through SOPEC’s Natural Gas Aggregation Program.
Eligible residents and businesses in the City of Belpre will receive the fixed price of $5.44 per Mcf for your natural gas supply charges up to the May 2027 meter read date.
What is the SOPEC Natural Gas Aggregation Program?
Under the SOPEC Natural Gas Aggregation Program, SOPEC acts on behalf of its natural gas consumers to select an natural gas supply provider who, through the power of volume buying, is able to secure natural gas at competitive prices. The PUCO has taken steps to ensure that Ohio’s competitive natural gas environment is consumer-friendly. Voters in each of the SOPEC member communities approved this aggregation program and each SOPEC member community (including the City of Belpre) also passed an ordinance adopting SOPEC’s Natural Gas Aggregation program. SOPEC has selected AEP Energy as its preferred natural gas supply provider to serve the residents and small businesses of SOPEC’s member communities including the City of Belpre.
