I’m moving. How do I transfer service?

If you’re moving to a new home or apartment, you should call your utility to place a disconnect order and arrange for new service, then contact one of our Customer Care Representatives at 866-258-3782 or email care@aepenergy.com to let us know your plans. According to your AEP Energy agreement, we request that you give us 45 days notice to avoid an early termination fee. Although you can’t “transfer” your agreement to the new location, if it is within a territory we serve, you can sign up your new account under a new contract. To sign up your new account go to Account Home and click on Add a Service Location (found under My Account).
