At AEP Energy, we strive to do the right thing every time for our customers, each other and our future. Being involved with our communities is a big part of reaching such a lofty goal. We are proud to do that by donating time and resources to local charities and partnering with organizations throughout our community.
Charities and Volunteering
AEP Energy recognizes the impact giving back has on the people who live and work in our neighborhoods. We take the opportunity to contribute funds, as well as our resources and energy to help make our community a better place.
Brian Muha Memorial Foundation – AEP Energy is proud to partner with Oakland Nurseries in central Ohio. As part of that partnership, with every enrollment we receive while in stores, AEP Energy donates a portion to the Brian Muha Memorial Foundation.
Flying Horse Farms – Fifty employees recently spent the day deep cleaning and helping Flying Horse Farms, a medical specialty camp that provides free transformative experiences for children with serious illnesses, prepare for winter.
Holiday Toy Drive – We partner with Nationwide Children’s Hospital in December and donate toys to their annual toy drive. Our employees take it upon themselves to purchase everything we contribute.
Military and Veterans Care Kits – Another way AEP Energy employees give back is by donating much needed supplies to our military abroad and homeless veterans.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Half Marathon – In 2019, a team of AEP Energy employees ran in the Columbus Half Marathon, with contributions going to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for lifesaving research and care.
United Way – AEP and AEP Energy partner with the United Way, and many employees give to this organization on a regular basis.
